June by Miranda Beverly-Whittmore

What is it about old Hollywood that sparks our imaginations? The glitz and the glamour have a certain romantic appeal that make us long for the good old days. When Cassie Danvers inherits her grandmother's home, Two Oaks, in St. Jude, OH, she soon comes face to face with Hollywood and discovers a connection to one of old Hollywood's biggest stars. Soon is is thrust into the world of tabloids and family secrets that she didn't know she had a part in.

While St. Jude is a fictional town in OH, it is based on a real place, St. Mary's, OH. The author does an amazing job of weaving the past and present, as well as the fiction and non-fiction together. This book is full of twists and turns and it pulls you in. The use of personification is genius and makes you think about what your house could say if it had the ability.
