When Maidens Mourn is the 7th book in the Sebastian St. Cyr series by C.S. Harris. This book finds Sebastian and his new wife Hero about a week after their nuptials. Sebastian and Hero are still working on their feelings for each other and how they are going to fit into each others lives. When Hero's friend is found murdered in a place that is said to be the site of the mystical Camelot and the woman's two young cousins are missing, , Sebastian must race to find the killer before the two young boys loose their lives as well. Soon Sebastian and Hero find themselves working together to solve the murder. Sebastian discovers a key to his past while Hero must decide if her allegiance lies with her father, Lord Jarvis, or with her husband.
This book is just as good as the others. Harris had an amazing way of weaving the story together with out getting bogged down by details. The story is filled with great descriptions of London and the people who live there. I love the interaction between Sebastian and Hero. Both are powerful characters apart but when put together they are dynamic. I look forward to reading books of hers in the future.
