The Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison

Lo lives in a world rules by rituals and numbers. She uses these to feel safe and secure. Dealing with the loss of her brother has only made her need for control more urgent. She continuously searches for things that remind her of him and will help add order to her world and help her deal with her crumbling family. She begins to explore the neighborhood in Cleveland, OH known as Neverland. A place where people go and don't return. While there she finds herself outside of a home as a murder is taking place. When Lo goes to a flea market and is given one of the murdered girls necklaces and a small butterfly statue she soon becomes obsessed with the murder and find out what happened to Sapphire. She finds herself in the middle of a dangerous game and with the help of Flynt, a young artist from Neverland she must discover what truly happened to Sapphire before she becomes the next victim.

The is an amazing book. The author did a great job of helping the reader really feel that anxiety that Lo is feeling as she tries to keep her world in order. I found myself tapping along with her and counting myself as I read it. I like the how each person is connected in some way and the twist toward the end of the book is just what was needed. This book with stick with me for a while. Great read!
